Description: | Son of Carlos (V). After the Bergara Agreement he lived in France. After Carlos V abdicated in 1845, Carlos Luis took the title of Count of Montemolín. In 1847 along with his brothers Prince Juan & Prince Fernando, he tried to cross the frontier to lead the Carlist rebellion in Catalonia and Valencia, but they were detained. Attempts in 1855 and 1860 failed and he gave up his rights. |
